Traditional bengali wedding.

A traditional wedding is arranged by Ghotoks (matchmakers), who are generally friends or relatives of the couple, or sometimes just professional matchmakers. The Ghotoks facilitate the couple's introduction to the wedding guests, and are given special gifts called Ghotokbidae (lit., "bidding goodbye to the Ghotoks") if the alliance is agreed upon and the marriage is realized. Families traditionally seek their children's matches from the same caste, religion and social standing. In the case of an arranged marriage, if the aforementioned 'compatibility' factors are duly matched, only then is the pairing deemed a palti-ghor (an ideal match). Nowadays (as arranged marriages are not mandatory), couples often choose their life partners themselves after a period of courtship and understanding each other well, while still giving some consideration to the traditional 'compatibility' factors, however not strictly conforming to conventional notions of both partners being an "ideal match." In modern English parlance, such a non-Ghotok-arranged alliance is called a "love match" and is based more upon the preferences and wishes of the partners than strict traditional norms.

EID MUBARAQ.

Eid al-Fitr (Arabicعيد الفطر‎ ʻĪd al-FiṭrIPA: [ʕiːd al fitˤr], "festival of breaking of the fast"), also called Feast of Breaking the Fast, the Sugar FeastBayram (Bajram), the Sweet Festival[3] and the Lesser Eid, is an importantreligious holiday celebrated by Muslimsworldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, theIslamic holy month of fasting (sawm). The religious Eid is a single day during which Muslims are not permitted to fast. The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entiremonth of Ramadan. The day of Eid, therefore, falls on the first day of the month of Shawwal. This is a day when Muslims around the world show a common goal of unity. The date for the start of any lunar Hijri month varies based on the observation of new moon by local religious authorities, so the exact day of celebration varies by locality. However, in most countries, it is generally celebrated on the same day as Saudi Arabia.[2]
Eid al-Fitr has a particular Salat (Islamic prayer) consisting of two Rakats (units) and generally offered in an open field or large hall.[4] It may be performed only in congregation (Jama’at) and, has an additional extra six Takbirs (raising of the hands to the ears while saying "Allāhu Akbar", literally "God is greatest"), three of them in the beginning of the first raka'ah and three of them just before Ruku' in the second raka'ah in the Hanafi school of Sunni Islam.[5] Other Sunni schools usually have twelve Takbirs, seven in the first, and five at the beginning of the second raka'ah. This Eid al-Fitr salat is, depending on which juristic opinion is followed, Fard(obligatory), Mustahabb (strongly recommended, just short of obligatory) or mandoob (preferable).
Muslims believe that they are commanded by Allah, as mentioned in the Quran, to continue their fast until the last day of Ramadan[6] and pay the Zakat and fitra before offering the Eid prayers.www.anwartrust.blog.com

AnwarTrust-Swam of ramadan.

During the entire month of Ramadan, Muslims are obligated to fast (Arabic:sawm), every day from dawn to sunset. Fasting requires the abstinence from food, drink and sexual activity. Fasting the month of Ramadān was made obligatory (wājib) during the month of Sh’abān, in the second year after the Muslims migrated from Makkah to Madīnah. Fasting the month of Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam:
www.anwartrust.blog.comwww.anwartrust.wordpress.com

The Companion Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab (Allah be pleased with him) said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) say: 'The religion of Islam is based upon five (pillars): testifying that there is no deity except God and Muhammad is the Messenger of God; establishing the prayer; giving zakat; making pilgrimage; and fasting (the month) of Ramadan.'" [Bukhari; Muslim]
Fasting the month of Ramadan is one of the greatest acts of worship a believer can perform. It is an act that cleanses one's mind, body, and soul from the spiritual and physical impurities of this world. It is an act that brings the hearts of Muslims together on a world-wide level as they endeavor to practice the virtue of self-discipline in unison. And it is an act that satiates the hungry soul for its eagerness to please the Lord of the Worlds. The act of fasting was also practiced by previous religious communities. Likewise, it has been ordained for the followers of the Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace).Allah All-Mighty says in the Quran, "O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed onto you as it was prescribed onto those before you, that perhaps ye may (learn) self-restraint." [Surat Al-Baqara, v. 183]
